UK Americana songwriter & producer Katie Nicholas returns with another song revisited from her archives. Written in 2015 and covered on the 50-track Songwriter Diaries series,‘In Your Shadow’ is about being ghosted by the person you love.
With the support of Culture Liverpool, Katie has had the opportunity to produce and collaborate with local videographer Sketch Benjamin for a beautiful music video to accompany this release. With Ben filming and colour-grading, and Katie directing and editing, it is one of her favourite visual works to date.

"In Your Shadow is a song very close to my heart. I wrote it almost ten years ago, as a young girl who wore her heart on her sleeve and couldn't understand the mixed messages of the guy she had fallen for.
It's been a total joy to create this, being my first real attempt in the producer seat and working alongside wonderful musicians and good friends.
I wish to dedicate it to my mum, who was a fan of this song - and throughout the video I made sure to honour her by wearing her beautiful clothes, jewellery and choosing meaningful locations that keep me connected to her.
I hope you love this one, I think it's one of my favourites. A special thank you for Culture Liverpool for supporting this project and to Benjamin, it was a joy to work with you on this video."
